Works on the Kenitra–Marrakech high-speed line (LGV) are now underway. As evidence, ONCF has just launched an open tender for track and overhead line works between Roches Noires station and the Nouaceur technical centre.
The cost of the works is estimated by the project owner at MAD 300 million (excluding VAT). The contract aims to define the conditions for execution, payment, and acceptance of detailed design studies, supplies, and works relating to track, overhead lines, and civil engineering at Roches Noires station and the Nouaceur technical centre, as part of the Kenitra–Marrakech high-speed line project.
Regarding the scope of the services, it is specified that the works will be carried out in close proximity to, or directly on, operational tracks. The areas concerned are Casa Roches Noires station, the Nouaceur technical centre, and the Ain Sebaa–Nouaceur section.
In addition, within the framework of the studies and works, the contractor will be required to carry out several tasks, including site installations, construction access roads and signalling, topographic surveys, earthworks, engineering structures, platform construction, railway track installation, and overhead line systems.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the overall execution period for the works is 12 months. Another key detail: the tender opening date is set for 9 July 2026.
Finally, it is worth noting that the execution rate of the Kenitra–Marrakech high-speed line, which spans 430 km, currently stands at 30%. This major project, involving more than MAD 53 billion in investments, is a cornerstone of the modernisation of Morocco’s railway infrastructure by 2030.
