Kenitra–Marrakech High-Speed Line: NGE Secures 443 Million Dirhams for Engineering Structures on the Kenitra–Ain Attiq Section
The works notably include the construction of new rail and road bridges, the complete replacement of certain structures to meet high-speed requirements, as well as the modernization of existing infrastructure.
Another major win for NGE Contracting on the Kenitra–Marrakech high-speed rail line project. The subsidiary of the French group Travaux du Sud-Ouest (TSO) has just secured the contract for studies and the construction of engineering structures, as well as the restoration of connections on the Kenitra–Ain Attiq section, for an amount of 443.5 million dirhams (MAD).
This amount is below the projected budget of 500 million dirhams set by the National Railways Office (ONCF). NGE Contracting’s bid, described as the “lowest compliant offer,” outperformed those of TGCC (506.3 million MAD) and Jet Contractors (639.9 million MAD).
The works will cover 13 kilometer points (KP), spanning an area from the Skhirat-Témara region to Sidi Yahya. They notably include the construction of new rail and road bridges, the complete replacement of certain structures to meet high-speed requirements, as well as the modernization of existing infrastructure, particularly between Témara, Skhirat, and Ain Attiq.
More than 300 million dirhams in contracts already awarded
The execution period is set at twelve months, including a two-month preparatory phase.
This new contract strengthens NGE Contracting’s presence in the LGV extension project toward Marrakech. In mid-February, in a consortium with its subsidiary Guintoli, the company had already won a contract worth 44.1 million dirhams for the diversion of the Samir pipeline.
A few weeks earlier, in early January 2025, it had also been awarded a contract worth 293.2 million dirhams for the doubling of the railway track on the Tangier–Fez axis, including the construction of engineering structures, the restoration of connections, and civil engineering works as part of the redevelopment of Ksar Sghir station. The execution period for these works is set at eighteen months.
