The General Directorate of Taxes (DGI) is taking a new step in its strategy to secure sensitive tax data.
After launching, last January, a call for tenders for the implementation of a data loss prevention (DLP) solution, along with maintenance services, the institution headed by Younes Idrissi Kaitouni is now initiating a security audit of its IT systems and their subsystems, hosted in two data centers in Rabat and Casablanca.
As part of this effort, the DGI plans to engage a service provider tasked with a technical assistance mission. Divided into two lots, with a total value of 2.4 million dirhams (MAD), this contract aims to assess the security level of twenty-four IT applications, evenly distributed between the two sites.
Identify vulnerabilities and their potential impact
Over a period of two years, the selected provider will be required to identify system vulnerabilities, analyze their severity and potential impacts, propose corrective recommendations, and then ensure their validation after implementation.
The scope of the mission notably includes reviewing the applications’ source code (SAST), analyzing software composition, conducting dynamic testing (DAST), as well as auditing the configurations of the hosting infrastructure.
It also includes the formulation of corrective measures and the final presentation of results upon completion of all phases. The identity of the selected contractor is expected to be announced on May 14.
