Casablanca: Creation of the Sports Infrastructure Company
Named “Casaregionsport,” the company will be responsible for strengthening the city’s sports infrastructures, developing its public facilities, and supporting sports and cultural activities in the various districts.
The Council of the Commune of Casablanca approved, during an extraordinary session held on Tuesday, by majority, the creation of the Casablanca Sports Infrastructure Company “CASAREGIONSPORT.”
This initiative aims to strengthen the city’s sports infrastructures, develop its public facilities, support sports and cultural activities in the different districts, and thus contribute to improving the quality of services offered to the local population.
During this session, chaired by the President of the Council of the Commune, Nabila Rmili, 32 out of the 35 items on the agenda were approved, reflecting the Council’s commitment to improving public services and urban development in Casablanca.
Thus, the Council approved the notice regarding the planning projects for the districts of Maarif, Roches Noires, and Aïn Sebaa, as well as the delegation project to the Local Development Company “Casablanca Baia” for the rehabilitation and equipment of the communal impound lot of Oulad Azzouz.
The Council of the Commune also adopted the statute of the Casablanca Sports Infrastructure Company and approved the amendment and supplement of fiscal decision No. 01/2018 relating to the taxes and fees collected for the benefit of the commune’s budget.
Council members also approved the amendment of several partnership agreements concerning the restoration and rehabilitation of the old slaughterhouses, the rehabilitation of the central market, the creation of social centers dedicated to women and children, as well as support programs for youth associations active in the field of climate change. Several development projects for sports fields and sports complexes throughout the city were also adopted.
On this occasion, Ms. Rmili emphasized that these projects constitute an important step in the development of the city’s various vital facilities, the improvement of the quality of services provided to citizens, and the establishment of the foundations of sustainable development, creating integrated urban spaces that meet the needs of the local population.
