Agadir mobilizes more than MAD 15.45 million for the development of the parking areas of the Grand Urban Park

Agadir is continuing the transformation of the surroundings of the Grand Stadium. Following the launch of several projects devoted to the modernization of sports and road infrastructure, the local authorities are accelerating the development of the parking areas of the future Grand Urban Park.

Led by the local development company Agadir Souss Massa Aménagement, this project represents an investment of more than 15.45 million dirhams (MAD). It aims to improve access to the site, facilitate traffic flow and support the emergence of a new urban hub around the stadium, which is expected to play a central role in the preparations for the 2030 World Cup.

The program includes earthworks, the modernization of sanitation networks, road development, the installation of new public lighting and the implementation of horizontal and vertical road markings.

Tree and palm transplantation operations, combined with the relocation and reinforcement of the irrigation network, are also planned.

These works complement the vast modernization program undertaken around the Grand Stadium of Agadir. The stadium itself is undergoing a renovation project estimated at more than one billion dirhams, including the rehabilitation of the roof, the modernization of technical equipment and the improvement of access points, in accordance with FIFA requirements.

Beyond the creation of new parking areas, the project forms part of a broader urban redevelopment strategy intended to strengthen Agadir’s attractiveness and support its economic and tourism development.

The surroundings of the Grand Stadium are thus expected to become a structuring space, conceived both as a place for mobility, leisure and services, well beyond the 2030 World Cup deadline.
