Voiries de Casablanca: Mojazine and Vias Win a 236 MDH Contract
The works, with an anticipated duration of five months per lot, notably include widening the roads, reconstructing roadways with parking area development, and connecting to existing roundabouts.
Casablanca continues to upgrade its roads and sidewalks. Following the redevelopment of Zerktouni and Ibn Sina boulevards, the municipality is launching new construction sites on several major arteries of the metropolis.
Launched last October 4th, this new contract has recently been awarded. The Mojazine Group won the first lot for an amount of 108.3 million dirhams (MDH), while the second lot was awarded to the Vias–Electri Maroc consortium for 127.9 MDH, bringing the total budget to 236 MDH.
Lot 1 notably concerns four streets in the Ibn Rochd hospital district, the Abdellah Ben Yacine boulevard (between Boulevard de la Résistance and Boulevard Ba Hmad), as well as the roundabout located between Boulevard Abou Chouaib Doukkali and Rue Aba Abdellah in the El Fida district. Also included are three development roads in the Sidi Othmane district, as well as the SM 52 roundabout on Okba Boulevard in the Sidi Moumen district.
Ten months to upgrade the roads.
For lot 2, the work will focus on five development roads in the Hay Hassani district, Ahmed Regoub Street (between Avenue 10 Mars 1982 and Boulevard Abderrahman Al Mokhanate) in the Sidi Othmane district, as well as the Sidi Masseoud road in the Ain Chock district.
The work, with a planned duration of five months for each lot, includes widening roadways, reconstructing roadways with parking area development, connecting to existing roundabouts, as well as demolition work across all trades.
The program also includes road drainage, public lighting work, construction and restoration of cinder block walls, reinforcement of existing roadways, as well as the development of intersections and parking lots.
Finally, the contract also includes the development and surfacing of sidewalks, horizontal and vertical road markings, and drainage and water drainage works. It also covers surveying services, the creation of utility conduits, as well as the adjustment of existing manhole and grate levels.
