Tourism: 4.3 Million Arrivals in the First Quarter
The month of March was particularly dynamic, with nearly 1.6 million tourists, marking an 18% increase compared to the same month in 2025.
Morocco’s tourism sector confirmed its positive momentum in the first quarter of 2026, with 4.3 million tourists welcomed, representing a 7% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
The month of March was particularly dynamic, with nearly 1.6 million tourists, up 18% compared to the same month in 2025, the ministry stated in a press release.
These results reflect significant efforts undertaken as part of the 2023–2026 roadmap to strengthen air connectivity, diversify source markets, and improve accommodation and entertainment offerings across Morocco.
Quoted in the statement, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, said: “These figures confirm that Morocco as a destination is staying on its trajectory.”
“March 2026 is a strong signal. We continue to work to ensure this momentum is sustained throughout the year,” she added.
