“Transforming teaching methods”
“The pioneer schools project was designed to transform teaching methods and strengthen pupils’ learning outcomes. At the beginning of the school year, we conduct an initial assessment to identify pupils’ actual levels, and on the basis of these results we guide each pupil towards the pathway that corresponds to their level. We provide intensive support of around one month (or 24 days) to overcome learning difficulties, so that pupils reach a solid level before moving on to the structured teaching phase. After this stage, we carry out another assessment to measure the effectiveness of the support provided, and then proceed to the phase of structured or explicit teaching.”
