Stadium in Nador: More than MAD 41 million for general earthworks
The project for the future football stadium in Nador, which will have a minimum capacity of 20,000 seats, has reached a new milestone with the launch of the price-based tender for Lot 1 covering general earthworks.
The cost of the services is estimated by the contracting authority (FRMF) at more than MAD 41.4 million (all taxes included). According to the documents appended to the tender reviewed by us, in addition to the works normally at its charge, the contractor must carry out several other tasks, including the setting out of the structures, the delivery, placement and removal of all necessary materials and equipment; the felling and stump removal of existing trees and the transplantation of palm trees and other trees.
Added to this are, among other things, cleaning works, earthworks of all kinds as well as the permanent watering of the platforms for the entire duration of the earthworks.
In summary, the works in question consist mainly of stripping the topsoil, the felling of trees and shrubs, the demolition of structures, the removal of rubble to the public landfill, the transplantation of trees located within the site boundaries and the earthworks for the platforms in embankment and excavation.
Furthermore, note that the date for the opening of bids is set for 24 June 2026.
In conclusion, recall that MAD 358 million (excluding taxes) has been budgeted for the works relating to the main structure, fixed equipment and installations, ground adaptations and exterior landscaping of the Nador football stadium, whose design and works supervision have been entrusted to architect Noureddine El Kenfaoui.
