Royal Air Maroc Launches New Direct Casablanca-Saint Petersburg Route
The new line will connect the two cities in less than 6 hours. Three weekly flights are planned.
As part of its development strategy and its ambition to strengthen Morocco’s connectivity with high-potential markets, Royal Air Maroc is inaugurating a new direct air link between Casablanca and Saint Petersburg (Russia), which will be operational starting January 2026.
This route, which will connect the two cities in less than six hours, responds to a growing demand for travel between Morocco and Russia, whether for professional, academic, or tourism purposes, RAM states in a press release.
Quoted in the press release, the CEO of Royal Air Maroc, Hamid Addou, affirmed that the opening of this new route to Saint Petersburg is a major strategic step for the national airline.
He continued: “It strengthens our presence in Russia and illustrates our commitment to connecting Morocco and the African continent to major global economic and cultural hubs. This new service will meet the growing expectations of travelers in terms of connectivity, while offering an increasingly high-quality onboard experience, in line with our commitment to continuously improving the customer experience.”
Starting January 20, 2026, Royal Air Maroc will offer three weekly flights between Casablanca and Saint Petersburg. Departures from Casablanca are scheduled on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 23:10 (local time), with arrival in Saint Petersburg at 06:55 the next day (local time). Return flights will depart from Saint Petersburg on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 08:05, arriving in Casablanca at 11:45 (local time).
This new route complements the airline’s current offering to Russia, which already includes a daily flight between Casablanca and Moscow. It reflects the growing dynamism of economic, cultural, and tourism exchanges between the two countries.
Morocco attracts an increasing number of Russian visitors each year, drawn by its pleasant climate, rich heritage, and renowned hospitality.
Saint Petersburg, a cultural jewel and UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of Russia’s most iconic destinations. With its world-renowned museums such as the Hermitage, its picturesque canals, and majestic architecture, it offers travelers a unique experience.
Flights will be available for sale starting Thursday, October 23, on the national airline’s website, through its call centers, at its sales offices, and via the travel agency network.
