Ouled Ziane: More than 15 MDH to complete the rehabilitation of the bus station

Casa Transport in Site Aménagé SA (Casa Transport) is actively continuing the rehabilitation of the Ouled Ziane bus station, the metropolis’s main intercity hub.

Three new specialized lots have been launched to complete the landscaping, furniture and signage, and operating systems work. These contracts, estimated in total at more than 15 million dirhams (MDH), form part of a major overall project aimed at transforming Ouled Ziane into a modern, functional and sustainable facility.

The Ouled Ziane bus station, located in the heart of Casablanca, receives thousands of passengers and coaches from across Morocco every day. Long faced with problems of obsolescence, organization and accessibility, it is benefiting from a large rehabilitation program launched by Casa Transport.

Work already underway since 2025 includes the renovation of the main building, the refurbishment of the platforms and overall flow improvements. The new lots will complete this ongoing transformation.

The “Planting” lot, with an estimated budget of 1.7 MDH, will cover the creation of green spaces and the improvement of the urban environment. The “Furniture & Signage” lot, estimated at 3.5 MDH, will involve the installation of modern equipment, benches, shelters and clear signage, including digital, to facilitate movement and inform users.

Finally, the “Operating System” lot, the largest with a budget of 10 MDH, will aim to implement high-performance IT solutions for managing coach flows, unified ticketing counters and operational control, in order to address the sometimes chaotic current organization.

Selection criteria will likely emphasize the technical quality of the bids, respect for deadlines, similar references and compliance with environmental and accessibility standards. A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2026, an essential step to understand the site constraints.

Interested companies must submit their bids before the scheduled opening dates: Tuesday, July 14 for the Planting and Furniture & Signage lots, and Tuesday, July 28 for the Operating System lot. Participation is open to qualified firms, with possible preference given to consortia or local actors able to mobilize quickly.

Bid opening will begin in mid-July and contract awards should take place in the following weeks, allowing the ongoing works to be accelerated. For residents of Casablanca and travelers, the goal remains to have a modern, welcoming and efficient bus station by the end of the works.
