OMPIC: 92,232 Companies Created by End of October
The sectoral distribution shows a predominance of trade, followed by construction and real estate activities (19.74%), miscellaneous services, and transport.
The number of companies created in Morocco reached 92,232 units by the end of October 2025, according to the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
These companies are divided between legal entities (66,391 units) and individuals (25,841 units), OMPIC specifies in the general dashboard of its business creation barometer.
The sectoral distribution shows a predominance of trade, representing 35.75% of companies created, followed by construction and real estate activities (19.74%), miscellaneous services (17.57%), transport (7.67%), industries (7.03%), hotels and restaurants (5.70%), the information and communication technology (ICT) sector (2.94%), agriculture and fishing (1.81%), and financial activities (1.80%).
By region, Casablanca-Settat dominates the ranking with 28,748 companies created, followed by Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (12,601), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (11,779), Marrakech-Safi (10,524), Fez-Meknes (6,351), Souss-Massa (6,149), the Oriental (6,165), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (3,356), Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (2,604), Beni Mellal-Khnifra (2,274), Draa-Tafilalet (1,992), and Guelmim-Oued Noun (689).
In terms of legal form, single-member limited liability companies (SARL-AU) represent 64.9% of creations, followed by limited liability companies (SARL) (34.4%), while joint-stock companies (SA) and other legal forms stand at 0.2% and 0.5% respectively.
