Nuclear Energy Summit: Akhannouch Takes Part in Dinner Hosted by the French President
The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch—who represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the World Nuclear Energy Summit—took part on Tuesday at the Élysée Palace in a dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron in honor of the participating heads of state and government.
The Moroccan delegation at the summit included, in particular, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita; the Director General of the Moroccan Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Safety and Security (AMSSNuR), Saïd Mouline; the Director General of the National Center for Nuclear Energy, Science and Technology (CNESTEN), Hamid Marah; and the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Paris, Samira Sitail.
During the dinner, which also brought together representatives of international organizations, stakeholders from the French nuclear sector, as well as several investors and energy operators, discussions focused on a number of topics, including the development of civil nuclear power, project financing, new uses of low‑carbon electricity and heat, the organization of industrial value chains, and securing nuclear fuel supply.
