National Team: Ouahbi’s squad to face Ecuador and Paraguay
The list is notably marked by the first call-ups of players Redouane Halhal, Issa Diop, Samir El Mourabet, Mohamed Rabie Hrimat, as well as the U20 world champions Ismaël Baouf, Yassir Zabiri, and Yassine Gessime.
The national team coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, has called up 28 players, on Thursday, to take part in the Atlas Lions’ upcoming friendly matches scheduled for late March against Ecuador and Paraguay.
This squad, announced during a press conference at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, is notably marked by the first call-ups of Redouane Halhal of KV Mechelen, Issa Diop, defender for Fulham, Samir El Mourabet, a midfielder at Strasbourg, and Mohamed Rabie Hrimat, captain of AS FAR, as well as U20 world champions Ismaël Baouf, Yassir Zabiri, and Yassine Gessime.
The Atlas Lions will play two friendly matches, respectively against Ecuador in Madrid and Paraguay in Lens, on March 27 and 31, as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
Morocco has been drawn in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.

– Defenders: Achraf Hakimi, Zakaria El Ouahdi, Issa Diop, Ismaël Baouf, Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, Redouane Halhal, Chadi Riad, Souffian El Karouani, Anass Salah-Eddine, and Noussair Mazraoui.
