MRE: Remittances Exceed 122 Billion Dirhams in 2025

These transfers have increased by 2.6% year-on-year, as specified by the Office in its recent bulletin on monthly foreign trade indicators.

The remittances from Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) exceeded 122 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) in 2025, compared to 118.9 billion dirhams the previous year, according to the Office des Changes.

These transfers increased by 2.6% year-on-year, as specified by the Office in its recent bulletin on monthly foreign trade indicators.

The bulletin also reports an increase in the services balance surplus of 14.2% to 159.66 billion dirhams, following the rise in imports (+9.7% to 155.37 billion dirhams) and exports (+11.9% to 315.03 billion dirhams).

As for the Travel balance, it showed a positive balance of over 105.12 billion dirhams (+23.5%), due to the increase in revenue (+20.6% to over 138.1 billion dirhams) and expenditures (+12.3% to 32.98 billion dirhams).
