Morocco Reiterates its Support for Yemen’s Unity and Territorial Integrity
Morocco reaffirms its rejection of anything that could undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its support for all initiatives aimed at de-escalating the situation, in the interest of security and to ensure the stability of all countries in the region.
The Kingdom of Morocco states that it is closely and with great interest following the latest developments in the sister Republic of Yemen, reiterating, by virtue of its conviction in the foundations of international law and the principles of good neighborliness and respect for the integrity and sovereignty of states, its unwavering support for the national unity of the sister Republic of Yemen and its sovereignty over all its territory, as well as for the right of the Yemeni people to security and stability.
Based on its firm commitment to consolidating stability in the Arab region, Morocco reaffirms its rejection of anything that could undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its support for all initiatives aimed at de-escalating the situation, in the interest of security and to ensure the stability of all countries in the region, states a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad.
In this regard, the Kingdom urges all concerned parties to remain committed to dialogue in order to reach a comprehensive political solution, under the auspices of international legitimacy, so as to preserve the unity and sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and to meet the aspirations of its brotherly people for a dignified life and lasting stability, the same source emphasizes.
