Morocco Re-elected as Member of the Digital Cooperation Organization

Morocco was elected, for the second consecutive year, to the Executive Committee of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) for the year 2026, on Wednesday in Kuwait City. This election took place on the sidelines of the organization’s 5th General Assembly, held in Kuwait.

The Kingdom received the highest number of votes, surpassing all other candidate countries, which demonstrates the regional and international confidence placed in the Moroccan experience in the field of digital transformation.

Established in 2020 during a G20 meeting, the Digital Cooperation Organization brings together ministers of communication and information technology from its 16 member states. The organization aims to empower youth, women, and entrepreneurs, leveraging the growing momentum of the digital economy and innovation to foster economic growth and promote social prosperity.

The organization is also committed to developing infrastructure and shaping optimal digital policies to build inclusive and equitable digital economies. These efforts aim to create opportunities for individuals, businesses, and communities to innovate and thrive.
