Morocco and Andalusia Strengthen Their Aerospace Cooperation
Approximately ten companies and institutions from the provinces of Seville and Cádiz in Andalusia participated in a trade mission to Casablanca, aiming to strengthen industrial cooperation and explore new opportunities in the aerospace sector.
This mission, organized by Andalucía TRADE and the Andalucía Aerospace cluster in collaboration with the Moroccan Aerospace Industries Group (GIMAS), aims to strengthen economic ties between Andalusia—a consolidated hub in Southern Europe—and Morocco, a leading emerging market in the Mediterranean basin, according to a statement by the Andalusian agency TRADE.
During their stay, participants held several B2B meetings, visited production and training centers, and engaged with major international groups such as Collins Aerospace and Aciturri, discussing investment prospects and opportunities within the global supply chain.
According to the Andalusian trade agency and community, Morocco has established itself as a strategic hub for the global aerospace industry, hosting more than 150 companies and generating an annual turnover exceeding €2.5 billion.
Morocco, now a strategic partner of Airbus and Boeing, concentrates its main aerospace hub in Casablanca (Midparc), where Safran, Spirit AeroSystems, Collins Aerospace, Daher Hextar, and Airbus Group operate. The country offers significant competitive advantages, including proximity to Europe, controlled production costs, and attractive fiscal incentives.
This mission is part of the internationalization strategy of the Andalusian aerospace sector, driven by Andalucía TRADE and Andalucía Aerospace, the statement notes.
