LGV Kénitra-Marrakech: 500 Million Dirhams for Structures
The implementation of the high-speed line linking Kénitra to Marrakech requires structural and communication restoration works in the Rabat region between Kénitra and Aïn Atiq. ONCF is launching a call for tenders for the study and execution of these projects.
ONCF continues the construction work for the high-speed line between Kénitra and Marrakech.
The office has launched a call for tenders to select a contractor responsible for the study and works for 14 structures, the restoration of road communication, earthworks, pavements, safety equipment, as well as temporary detours, all between Kénitra and Aïn Atiq.
More specifically, these works are located between Bouknadel-Salé, Agdal-Aïn Atiq, and at the level of the conventional Sidi Yahya line.
With an estimated cost of 500 million dirhams, the contractor, to be determined on March 12th, must execute the works within an overall timeframe set at 12 months.
The Kénitra-Marrakech high-speed link project includes the design and construction of a new line between Kénitra and Marrakech designed for a speed of 350 km/h and to be operated at 320 km/h; the design and construction of the terminal area developments in Rabat, Casablanca, and Marrakech, the preparation of work bases; as well as the design and construction of railway equipment.
It also includes the design and construction of the signaling and telecommunications system; the construction of new high-speed stations, local train stations, and the renovation of existing stations. In addition to this are the construction of the maintenance center for train sets in Marrakech and the preparation for the operation of the new facilities.
