Grand Stade Hassan II: Electrical works awarded to the CMS–EM Energie duo
Launched in early March, this fourth lot, valued at MAD 2.2 billion, notably covers the installation of specialized lighting, fire detection and firefighting systems, as well as IT and telephone pre-cabling.
The construction of the Grand Stade Hassan II is accelerating. The Sports Infrastructure Directorate of the National Agency for Public Facilities (ANEP) has awarded the contract for electrical works (high- and low-voltage systems) of the future Benslimane stadium to the Construction Management Services (CMS)–EM Energie consortium.
According to documents we consulted, the consortium’s bid, amounting to 2.25 billion dirhams (MAD 2.25 bn), edged out that of Cegelec–Lamalif (MAD 2.3 bn), both of which are major players in the public lighting sector in Morocco.
Launched in early March, this fourth lot notably covers the installation of specialized lighting, fire detection and firefighting systems, as well as IT and telephone pre-cabling. It also includes an IT and Wi‑Fi network, telephony, access control, and perimeter LED screens. The execution timeline has been set at two years.
As a reminder, the future Grand Stade Hassan II, planned over an area of 100 hectares, will offer a capacity of approximately 115,000 seats, placing it among the largest stadiums in the world. The main construction contract was awarded in June 2025 to the SGTM–TGCC consortium for MAD 3.4 billion.
