Dakhla New Covered Hall: Jet Contractors at the Helm for Nearly 100 Million Dirhams
The construction giant has taken the prize, outbidding a well-known competitor in strategic markets, Rouandi, which had proposed a bill of 107.8 million dirhams.
Good news for sports lovers in the city of Dakhla. The Pearl of the South will soon have a covered hall to be built by Jet Contractors.
The construction giant has just been contracted by the local development company (SDL) Dakhla Aménagement et Développement, for 95.5 million dirhams (MDH), according to documents we have reviewed. An amount exceeding the initial budget of 80 MDH.
The company has taken the prize, outbidding a well-known competitor in strategic markets, Rouandi, which had proposed a bill of 107.8 MDH.
Planned for one year and six months, the construction of this sports infrastructure will primarily focus on earthworks, structural work, and waterproofing.
A Grand Stadium also in the pipeline
“Materials intended for the execution of the works will be of Moroccan origin; foreign materials will only be used if it is impossible to procure them in the Moroccan market. They must comply with current standards and be of the highest quality,” specifies the SDL.
In addition to this major facility, Dakhla will also have a Grand Stadium to be built on an area of 50 hectares. Budgeted at 265 MDH, the work, entrusted to Rouandi last January, will span three years.
The football facility will have a capacity of 15,000 seats, including 4,000 covered. It will also include 150 VIP seats, a media stand, computer rooms with a TV interview studio, and a conference room.
The project also includes an infirmary, refreshment stands, technical rooms for electricity and computer equipment. An outdoor public parking lot for 500 spaces is also planned.
