In a fashion market often driven by the ephemeral and seasonal collections, some brands choose to slow the pace. That is the bet made by Anyk, a young Moroccan label whose name, inspired by the local dialect, evokes elegance.

An elegance that is confident, sustainable, and deeply rooted in artisanal craftsmanship.

Behind this signature is an entrepreneur: Yassmine Ghammad. Coming from a family of shoe industry professionals, she could have followed a path already laid out for her. But it is precisely to break away from it that she launched her own brand in 2024. “After graduating from high school, I studied product marketing in France.

Upon my return, I worked for seven years in mass retail as a product manager before considering starting my own business,” Ghammad explains. Her ambition: to create a world that reflects who she is, while continuing the family legacy.

A way of combining independence with heritage. It is also “a project that will honor my father’s thirty years of experience in the shoe industry and also make him proud,” she says.

The brand first stands out through its positioning. Here, there are no collections dictated by the seasons. The brand embraces a timeless approach, where each pair is designed to last.

Handmade—a defining feature of the brand—the shoes are made to measure, with particular attention paid to detail and comfort. The target audience is clear: women aged 25 and over, seeking unique pieces, far from standardization.

The brand’s other signature lies in personalization. Customers are invited to take part in the creation process by customizing their models. Colors, materials, finishes: each pair thus becomes a reflection of an individual personality. An almost intimate experience with the product, strengthening the bond between the brand and its clientele.

A Moroccan touch for exported designs

On the creative side, Ghammad focuses on strong, statement pieces. Mules, in particular, stand out as a signature of the brand, offered in velvet or leather, with elegant and contemporary lines.

The brand has also specialized in platform shoes for brides, combining aesthetics and comfort to accompany special moments. “These are the house’s distinguishing features,” the young entrepreneur notes.

To ensure consistent quality, the workshop employs skilled workers specialized in shoemaking, with an average of 15 years of experience in the sector.

Distribution also reflects a carefully considered positioning, with an online presence since its launch. “Our catalog has been put online; customers choose the model, which can then be adapted to their requirements and desires. That’s our strength, which allows us to make a name for ourselves.”

In addition, the brand relies on selective points of sale. In Casablanca, its models are offered in the boutiques of a luxury hotel chain, while internationally, the brand has established a partnership with a retailer in Qatar.

A strategy that enables it to reach a demanding clientele, both local and international. To achieve this, Anyk meets its partners’ requirements, Ghammad explains, “by adding a Moroccan touch—particularly sfifa, gold thread, and sometimes satin—to the shoes.”

With an average price around 1,200 dirhams, reaching 2,000 dirhams and more in boutiques, because, as the young entrepreneur explains, “the models are specifically designed for this distribution channel. And for export, prices are adjusted to the market due to export costs, and so on.”

Overall, through its pricing policy, the brand positions itself in an accessible premium segment. A positioning validated by the market: in two years, demand has increased and revenue has doubled.

Still young, Anyk already embodies a certain vision of Moroccan luxury: discreet and enduring. A brand that moves forward quietly, but with a clear ambition—to stand the test of time, much like the shoes it crafts.
