Air travel: Marrakech–Menara surpasses one million passengers by the end of April
International traffic reached 961,408 passengers by the end of April, recording a 7.81% increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, domestic traffic saw a more marked rise, totalling 54,761 passengers.
Marrakech–Menara International Airport surpassed one million passengers by the end of April 2026, recording an 8.42% increase compared to the same period the previous year, according to the latest statistics from the National Airports Office (ONDA).
By the same date in 2025, the airport had handled 937,260 passengers.
In detail, international traffic reached 961,408 passengers, compared to 891,740 a year earlier, marking a 7.81% increase. Domestic traffic, for its part, recorded stronger growth, with 54,761 travellers by the end of April, compared to 45,520 during the same period in 2025, representing a rise of 20.30%.
Over the first four months of the year, Marrakech–Menara Airport handled a total of 3,803,669 passengers, compared to 3,432,643 by the end of April 2025, reflecting an increase of 10.81%.
Regarding the main international air routes in April 2026, the Marrakech–Paris Orly route ranked first with 78,229 passengers. It was followed by Casablanca Mohammed V–Paris Orly (73,481 travellers), Marrakech–Paris Charles de Gaulle (60,667 passengers), Casablanca Mohammed V–Paris Charles de Gaulle (52,158 passengers), and Marrakech–London Gatwick (48,233 passengers).
These figures highlight the strong momentum of Marrakech–Menara Airport, which remains one of Morocco’s main tourist gateways.
