A recent report by Boston Consulting Group and MIT Sloan Management Review reveals that 76% of leaders now view agentic AI as a colleague rather than just a tool, with 35% of companies already utilizing this technology and 44% planning to adopt it soon. However, few organizations have restructured to integrate agentic AI effectively. The study highlights that 66% of leading firms anticipate changes in their operational models, while 58% foresee governance shifts within three years, expecting a 250% increase in decision-making authority for AI. Additionally, 95% of employees in advanced agentic AI organizations report improved job satisfaction, with 73% of leaders believing it will enhance competitive differentiation. The findings stress the need for companies to redefine workflows and governance to fully leverage the dual nature of agentic AI, which combines aspects of both human resource management and asset management.
