Grand Stade Hassan II: More Than MAD 2.2 Billion for Electrical Works
The call for tenders relating to the fourth lot, concerning electrical works (high-current and low-current systems), has just been published. More than MAD 2.2 billion will be mobilized.
Construction of the Grand Stade Hassan II, which will host matches of the 2030 World Cup, is continuing.
As evidence, the Sports Infrastructure Directorate of the National Public Facilities Agency (ANEP) has just made public the tender relating to the fourth lot. It concerns electrical works (high-current and low-current systems).
The cost of the services is set at more than MAD 2.2 billion by the delegated contracting authority. According to the documents attached to the tender, which we reviewed, the contractor will have to carry out a number of works and installations (specialized lighting, fire detection, automatic fire suppression, IT and telephone pre-cabling, wired and wireless IT network, telephony, access control, perimeter LED screens, LED strips and others, etc.).
It should be noted that the overall execution period for the contract’s works is set at 24 months, and that the opening of bids is scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2026.
It should be recalled that the future Grand Stade Hassan II, which will be built over an area of 100 hectares, will have a total capacity of around 115,000 spectators. This will make it one of the largest stadiums in the world. The main lot for construction of the stadium was awarded in June 2025 to the Moroccan consortium SGTM-TGCC for 3.4 billion dirhams.
