Severe Cold: Launch of ‘Riaya 2025-2026’ in Support of Affected Areas

The Ministry of Health launches the Riaya 2025-2026 operation to support populations affected by the cold wave, from November 15, 2025 to March 30, 2026.

It involves 31 provinces in 8 regions of Morocco. The objective is to ensure proximity care in isolated areas, through primary, curative, and preventive care, along with awareness-raising actions.

The operation includes strengthening mobile medical units, with 3,528 field visits and 183 specialized medical caravans, supported by mini medical campaigns.

In total, 2,817 healthcare professionals are mobilized, accompanied by biomedical equipment, mobile health units, and ambulances.

An allocation of 11.32 million dirhams is dedicated to medications, while 2.582 million dirhams cover fuel and maintenance.

The Ministry emphasizes the cooperation of all local stakeholders to ensure the success of the operation.
