Southern Provinces : OFPPT expands its training system

The training system of OFPPT in the Southern Provinces is characterized by a wide offering with 76 diploma programs and a variety of institutes, including 16 professional training establishments and 3 Centers of Trades and Skills.

In November 2015, the launch by His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the New Development Model for the Southern Provinces, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Green March, marked the start of structuring projects in professional training. Notable examples include the Specialized Institute of Applied Technology Al Wahda in Laâyoune, the Specialized Institute of Renewable Energy Professions in Tarfaya, and the Specialized Institute of Hospitality and Tourism in Dakhla. These three institutes mobilized a total investment of nearly 145 million dirhams.

Today, it is clear that the training system of OFPPT in the Southern Provinces is characterized by a broad offer (76 diploma programs) and a diversity of institutes (16 professional training establishments, 3 Centers of Trades and Skills).

Equipped with 2,000 educational places, the Center of Trades and Skills Laâyoune-Sakia el Hamra, already operational, was built with a total of 310 million dirhams. The Center of Trades and Skills Dakhla- Oued Eddahab, newly opened, with a capacity of 1,400 places per year, was constructed with a budget of 238 million dirhams. Finally, regarding the Center of Trades and Skills Guelmim- Oued Noun, its opening is planned for the 2025-2026 training year. The new-generation establishment, which involved an investment of 236 million dirhams, has a capacity of 660 educational places in the first year.
