Casablanca-Settat: More than 1,130 km of rural roads planned
Tenders were already launched last May. AREP Casablanca-Settat is working on a comprehensive program of projects, currently under execution, valued at more than MAD 2.4 billion.
The Regional Project Implementation Agency (AREP) has launched a program to build more than 1,130 km of rural roads across six provinces in the Casablanca-Settat region.
With a budget of roughly 1 billion dirhams, it will benefit 78 municipalities.
At the same time, AREP is carrying out ongoing projects with a total value of over 2.4 billion dirhams.
The projects scheduled for this year, amounting to 1.4 billion dirhams, show a completion rate of 93% and concern 102 municipalities.
In the first half of 2026, the Agency notably completed 77 km of rural tracks, 22 km of classified roads,
461 km of drinking water pipelines, more than 5,700 individual connections, 666 public water taps, and 2,250 LED streetlights.
These actions are part of the 2022–2027 Regional Development Program aimed at strengthening infrastructure and basic services in the region.
