The Moroccan ambassador to Mexico advocates for strengthening the partnership between Rabat and Mexico
Morocco and Mexico are two complementary countries and are called upon to seize the various opportunities available to them to further strengthen their partnership, said the Kingdom’s ambassador in Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar.
Invited to the program Generación de Valor, broadcast on the Mexican radio station Radio Anahuac, the diplomat notably highlighted the similarities as well as the complementarities between the two countries. These levers, he stressed, can constitute solid foundations for strengthening bilateral cooperation. He cited in particular the sectors of education, sustainable development, and renewable energies.
While discussing these promising sectors, the ambassador emphasized that Morocco and Mexico are leaders in several fields, particularly automotive and aeronautics, with high-performing companies, opening, in his view, promising partnership prospects between the actors in these sectors.
Furthermore, this partnership can also benefit from the cultural similarities between the two countries, notably in terms of customs, culinary arts, craftsmanship, as well as the values of hospitality and tolerance that characterize them. For the diplomat, this cooperation could extend beyond strictly bilateral aspects, especially since Morocco serves as a gateway to Europe, Africa, and the Arab world, while Mexico is open to the Americas and the Caribbean. Here again, complementarity can be fully leveraged.
Finally, to further capitalize on these assets, the diplomat considers it necessary to strengthen air links between the two countries, notably through the opening of a direct route.
