Marrakech hosts the 2nd edition of the International Conference on Tourism Investment
This event, which is part of the momentum of the 2023–2026 tourism roadmap, will take place on April 24 in Marrakech.
The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy, along with the Moroccan Agency for Tourism Development (SMIT), in partnership with UN Tourism, are organizing the second edition of the International Conference “Innovation and Tourism Investment” on April 24 in Marrakech.
This event is part of the momentum of the 2023–2026 tourism roadmap. It confirms the Kingdom’s ambition to establish itself as a true African hub for innovation, capable of attracting high value-added investments to sustainably transform the national tourism offering, SMIT said in a statement.
The conference will bring together more than 150 high-level participants, including international investors, venture capital funds, business angels, as well as leading players from the national startup ecosystem, the same source noted.
The confirmed presence of the Secretary-General of UN Tourism, Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, reflects Morocco’s international influence and its leading role in tourism investment in Africa.
One of the highlights of the day will be the “Tourism Tech Adventures” awards ceremony. This national competition will reward the best startups in three strategic areas: service digitalization, leisure gaming, and Moroccan gastronomy.
Through this major event, Morocco reaffirms its commitment to building a resilient, innovative, and inclusive tourism sector, strengthening its position as a leading destination on the global stage.
