CGEM Presidency: The candidacy of the Mehdi Tazi and Mohamed Bachiri duo has been validated
This candidacy will be put to a vote during the Ordinary Elective General Assembly to be held on May 14, 2026.
The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises held its Board of Directors meeting this Wednesday, April 15, under the chairmanship of Chakib Alj, in order to deliberate on the items on the agenda. These notably included the presentation of the report on the 2023–2026 term, and the review of the report by the Committee overseeing the electoral process regarding candidacies for the presidency and the general vice-presidency of the CGEM for the 2026–2029 term.
Following the presentation of the presidency’s report for the 2023–2026 term, the board members proceeded to examine the report of the Electoral Monitoring Committee, established in accordance with Article 7.2 of the Internal Regulations.
On this basis, the Board of Directors approved the candidacy of the duo composed of Mehdi Tazi and Mohamed Bachiri, respectively candidates for the positions of president and general vice-president, as it meets all eligibility requirements set out in the CGEM’s Statutes and Internal Regulations.
This candidacy will be submitted to a vote at the Ordinary Elective General Assembly (AGOE), which will be held on May 14, 2026, the Confederation recalls in a statement.
