A Canary Islands Delegation on an Economic Mission in Dakhla

An economic delegation from the Canary Islands will carry out a mission in Dakhla from November 29 to December 2, 2025, aimed at exploring the business and investment opportunities offered by the region and identifying the most promising sectors.

Organized by the Canary Islands Economic Promotion Agency (Proexca), in partnership with the Federation of Port Enterprises (FEDEPORT), this mission is part of efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between the Canary Islands and Morocco in high-potential sectors, including port services, logistics, port digitalization, renewable energies, the blue economy, and the circular economy, the organizers stated in a press release.

During this visit, the Canary Islands delegation will participate in a series of informational sessions on investment prospects in the region, particularly concerning the Dakhla Atlantique port project, a strategic infrastructure estimated at 1.3 billion euros. Institutional meetings with Moroccan regional and port authorities, as well as B2B meetings with local economic operators, are also on the agenda.

Technical visits to the Port of Dakhla, logistics zones, and other facilities related to maritime development are planned to allow participants to grasp the potential of this rapidly growing platform.

The delegation includes Canary Islands companies from the port, maritime, and related industries, specializing particularly in auxiliary services, logistics management, engineering, and port technologies.

This mission aligns with Proexca and FEDEPORT’s international outreach strategy, which aims to foster the creation of sustainable economic partnerships and strengthen exchanges between the Canary Islands and Moroccan port ecosystems, in a region poised to play a key role in Atlantic logistics chains.
