Supporters in jubilation, Wydad flags raised, songs and communion: the Wydad community of the United States celebrated their beloved club in Philadelphia, in a festive atmosphere full of hope, ambitions, and pride. Meeting point: City Hall Birth Apron square; a dedicated fan zone where many supporters from all backgrounds met to show their unwavering support for this legendary club.

The mayor, Cherelle Parker, represented by her deputy, was also present to bring her support and “love” to the club. On this occasion, a WAC jersey bearing her name was offered to the mayor by the founder of the Washington Moroccan Club, Hassan Samrhouni.

To further honor this historic club and highlight it even more, the mayor declared May 8 as Wydad Day, which obviously coincides with the founding date of the WAC and will be celebrated every year in Philadelphia.
