Akhannouch: The factories of the Chinese company Sunrise will create 8,500 jobs.
The projects resulting from the investment agreement signed on Thursday in Rabat with the Chinese group Sunrise, a world leader in the textile sector, will create 8,500 direct and indirect jobs in Fes and Skhirat, emphasized the Head of Government.

Aziz Akhannouch stated in a press statement that thanks to the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, the strategic relations between Morocco and China are excellent and are being materialized today through this very important investment in the textile sector.
This agreement, worth 2.3 billion dirhams, will generate several investments in the textile, yarn, fabric, and garment sectors through the establishment of two industrial units in Skhirat and Fes, he explained, noting that these projects confirm Morocco’s attractiveness as a destination for investments.
Akhannouch also noted that the investment by the Chinese group will have a positive impact on the development of available products in Morocco, particularly the yarn and fabric industry, observing that this new complex will also contribute to the strengthening and development of textiles in the Kingdom.
It is worth noting that the Head of Government met Lei Xu, President of the Sunrise group, which has operations in several Asian countries, in Shanghai in September.
During this meeting, Mr. Akhannouch expressed the state’s support for the realization of this strategic investment project by the Sunrise group in several regions of the Kingdom, through the launch of integrated industrial complexes that include all components of the sector.
