The Secretariat of State for Foreign Trade held, on June 11, in Casablanca, a follow-up meeting related to the implementation of the 2025-2027 foreign trade program, in the presence of representatives of the regional delegations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Asmex, CGEM, as well as the insurance sector.

This meeting, chaired by Omar Hejira, Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade, is part of the monitoring mechanism set up to ensure a coherent, transparent, and inclusive implementation of this program, indicates a statement from the Department of Industry and Trade.

In line with royal directives, this program whose guidelines were presented on May 28 in Casablanca, under the presidency of the Head of Government, aims to make foreign trade a major lever for growth and job creation by expanding the exporting base, by 2027, to 400 new exporters annually, increasing exports by 80 billion dirhams, and creating 76,000 new jobs.

All the measures planned by the 2025-2027 foreign trade program aim to strengthen the exporting company in its role as a growth engine and to guarantee it a favorable framework for internationalization and the conquest of foreign markets. Their operationalization has already begun and a real dynamic has been established through the achievements recorded, with concrete intermediate results.

Thus, among the activated measures is the effective start of regional foreign trade offices at the level of the Ministry’s delegations in the 12 regions of the Kingdom. These offices play an essential proximity role, identifying companies with export potential, supporting them in their export procedures, and organizing training and information sessions on foreign trade.

In parallel, the complementary export insurance scheme, developed in partnership with the Central Reinsurance Company, will also be operational from June 16. This product aims to promote Moroccan exports in new markets, particularly in Africa.

Furthermore, the digital platform “TijarIA” will also be accessible to exporting and importing operators and the general public from June 16. This revolutionary tool offers continuous access to a complete and updated documentary database, as well as personalized responses 24/7 thanks to artificial intelligence.

In closing the meeting, Omar Hejira praised the commitment of the stakeholders and called for increased mobilization in favor of the success of this national program, the foundation of the Kingdom’s vision to build a more resilient, diversified, and inclusive export model.
