WB MENA VP Calls Partnership with Morocco Solid, Constantly Evolving
The World Bank reaffirms its commitment to Morocco. During his visit to Rabat, Ousmane Dione, the institution’s Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa, praised a partnership that is «solid, healthy, and constantly evolving», highlighting the Kingdom’s key role in ongoing economic and social reforms.

The partnership between the World Bank (WB) and the Kingdom of Morocco is solid, healthy and constantly evolving, WB Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Ousmane Dione said in Rabat on Monday.
«We discussed Morocco’s priorities, the extremely encouraging reforms it is carrying out, and the possibility of further backing its development agenda», Dione said in a statement to the press following his talks with Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch.
He praised Morocco’s social reforms, in particular those aimed at enshrining the pillars of the Social State, noting that the international financial institution will support Morocco’s efforts to «host upcoming events».
Dione expressed the World Bank’s willingness to support Morocco in its innovation and economic growth projects, and to back the innovative social reforms undertaken by the Kingdom and its employment agenda, so that «it continues to perform both regionally and globally».
The WB will bring added value to all of Morocco’s structures for sustained growth and quality employment, he asserted, expressing the wish to see this partnership reach upgraded levels.
