Royal Air Maroc Strengthens Air Connectivity Between Northern Morocco and Europe
Three new direct, scheduled routes will now connect Tangier with Málaga, Barcelona, and Madrid. Likewise, three other scheduled air routes will link Nador with Barcelona, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf.
Royal Air Maroc continues to roll out its “point-to-point” development strategy in the Northern region of the Kingdom by offering passengers a dense and diversified network of routes between Morocco, Europe, and the rest of the world.
Following the announcement of the launch of direct routes linking Tetouan with Barcelona, Málaga, and Madrid, and Casablanca with Bilbao and Alicante, three new direct, scheduled routes will now connect Tangier with Málaga, Barcelona, and Madrid. Likewise, three other scheduled air routes will link Nador with Barcelona, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf.
“The launch of these new direct routes in the north of the Kingdom, in addition to the opening of our air base in Tetouan, demonstrates Royal Air Maroc’s commitment to enhancing the Kingdom’s tourism profile. These strategic routes to Europe meet strong demand for connectivity and help strengthen economic, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges between Morocco and Europe. They form part of our development plan aimed at positioning Royal Air Maroc as a global carrier, with an expanded point-to-point network,” said Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc.
With the launch of these new routes, the airline will now connect nine Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, Seville, Las Palmas, Tenerife, Bilbao, Alicante) to five Moroccan cities (Casablanca, Laâyoune, Tangier, Tetouan, and Nador), totaling more than 80 frequencies per week.
Three German cities connected to Morocco
In addition, three German cities (Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and Munich) will now be connected to three Moroccan cities (Casablanca, Nador, and Oujda), with more than 35 frequencies per week.
This expansion strengthens Royal Air Maroc’s role as a strategic air bridge between Morocco and Europe. It also significantly enhances the connectivity offered by the Casablanca hub, allowing travelers from the served European destinations easier access to the airline’s extensive African and international network.
Flights will be available for sale starting February 10, 2026, on the national carrier’s website, via its call centers, as well as in its sales offices and through the network of travel agencies.
