Morocco Ranks Among the 50 Most Influential Countries in the World

The Kingdom has achieved significant progress in the “Science and Education” (+11 places) and “People and Values” (+6 places) indices, which assess generosity and tolerance. The “Media and Communication” and “Governance” sectors have also experienced improvements.

Morocco has maintained its 50th position in the 2025 edition of the “Global Soft Power Index”, solidifying its status as the most influential Maghreb country and one of Africa’s top three leading nations. 

The consultancy firm Brand Finance highlighted Morocco’s advancements in “Science & Education” (+11 places) and “People & Values” (+6  places).

The “Media & Communication” and “Governance” categories also improved by 2 positions each. 

Globally, the United States leads the rankings, followed by China, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Germany. 

The index evaluates countries’ influence based on criteria such as business, governance, culture, media, and education. It draws from surveys of 170,000 respondents across more than 100 countries.
