The Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health launches a precision medicine hub
The Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health announces the creation of a precision medicine hub in Rabat, with genomics, cell therapies, and a clinical unit, to modernize health and strive for excellence in Morocco.

After proving itself as a major player in the field of Medicine 4.0, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health (FM6SS) announces the creation of a Precision Medicine Hub.
This ambitious project aims to strengthen diagnostic, treatment, and cutting-edge service capabilities by integrating new-generation technologies and an interdisciplinary approach, according to a statement from the Foundation.
The Hub will be structured around three complementary units. First, a genomic platform equipped with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, advanced genotyping, and monitoring, allowing for in-depth analysis for precise and personalized diagnosis. Next, a cell culture laboratory dedicated to developing new options in cell therapies. Finally, a clinical unit integrated into the Mohammed VI International University Hospital in Rabat, which will ensure patient care and the implementation of precision medicine advances.
All supported by a Biobank with a dedicated Datacenter, which will constitute a national resource for the conservation of biological samples and associated data.
This initiative is part of a modernization effort for the Moroccan healthcare system by facilitating access to the most innovative technologies. By integrating precision medicine into the care pathway, this project will significantly improve early detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of complex diseases, particularly in oncology and rare diseases.
The establishment of this Hub relies on close collaboration between institutional and clinical actors, with the ambition of positioning Morocco as a reference actor in precision medicine.
Based on cutting-edge infrastructure and a strategic network of partners, this initiative aims to strengthen healthcare offerings by proposing solutions adapted to the needs of the population, concludes the statement.
