The Doctors of Politics (1/2)
In order to ensure their anchoring in various professional environments, some political formations opt for the creation of parallel organizations, while others rely more on a “trade union extension” in the health sector. Overview.

Nabila Rmili – RNI
Reflecting and Proposing
Continuing its organizational dynamic, consisting of setting up various parallel organizations, the RNI has devoted particular interest to the health sector. Thus, as early as 2018, the Dove party created a national organization of health executives and personnel.
A framework, coordinated by Nabila Rmili, which aims both to take into account the interests of professionals in the said sector, but also to pay particular attention to defending patients’ rights.
A vision stemming from direct contact with the realities on the ground, the result of tours carried out throughout the territory, marked by listening to both professionals and citizens. Without media fanfare, the organization is also active in medical campaigns for the benefit of populations in remote regions.
It can be understood that the RNI organization thus takes it upon itself to support the party’s approach by contributing to the consolidation of the foundations of the social state where the Health component constitutes one of the major pillars.

Karim Belmokadem – USFP
A Trade Union Arm in Health
At the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, the health arm of the Democratic Labor Federation is the National Public Health Union, which carries the torch of demands.
This union was, for several weeks, preparing for its 5th congress, which took place from April 18 to 20. Leading this union, then at the 9th national congress, Dr. Karim Belmokadem, outgoing national secretary general, is working to make this meeting a turning point in the history of this union, it is said within its ranks.
Belmokadem was unanimously re-elected. Naturally, the union’s approach is mainly focused on revendication, as it was one of the pillars in the creation of the FDT in November 1978. This creation, it should be recalled, came after the dramatic departure of the duo Noubir Amaoui – Abdelmajid Bouzoubaâ who took with them a large part of the USFP’s union wing, particularly its extension in the health sector.

Khalid Lahlou – Istiqlal
A League and a Trade Union Extension
The Istiqlal party is particular in that it has both a league, led by Khalid Lahlou, grouping Istiqlali doctors, and its trade union arm through the General Union of Moroccan Workers.
The latter includes a trade union organization dedicated to the health sector, namely the National Health Federation, which claims a foothold in a sector where the balance of power is judged by the mobilizable masses in a sector where the nursing corps weighs the most.
Moreover, during the negotiation of social agreements signed in July 2024 with the government, it was the Federation belonging to the trade union arm of the Balance party that was present at the official ceremony.
