Morocco Modernizes Fleet as 257 New Urban Buses Arrive at Casablanca Port

Multiple cities to benefit from new shipment, including Marrakech, Tangier, Tetouan, and Benslimane.

Urban bus transport in Morocco is modernizing. The first phase of the 2025-2029 national program for urban public transport has just been launched. This phase involves 29 cities and plans the acquisition of 1,487 buses. with a budget of 11 billion dirhams, this program will eventually benefit 84 cities and aims to acquire 3,800 vehicles in total.

Operation of this fleet will be carried out by professional operators under a new delegated management model, placing the quality of service provided to citizens at the center of concerns.

Between the end of October and November, nearly 1,000 new buses will be received.

On October 27, a total of 257 new buses were received at the port of Casablanca.

Several cities will benefit from this new shipment, including Marrakech, Tangier, Tetouan, and Benslimane.
