Marrakech Hosts the Second International Conference on Labour Law and Diversity
The city of Marrakech is currently hosting the second edition of the International Conference on «Labour Law and Diversity», taking place from April 2 to 4, 2025, at the Mövenpick Hotel, in partnership between the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco and the International Bar Association (IBA).

Marrakech Hosts the Second International Conference on Labour Law and Diversity with Participation from Over 58 Countries.
The event brings together legal experts, practitioners, international organizations, and representatives from over 58 countries, to examine the legal and practical challenges surrounding the future of work in a rapidly changing digital environment.
The official opening ceremony, held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, was presided over by Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, Minister of Justice, and attended by Mr. Hicham Sbai, Secretary of State in charge of Employment, along with several prominent national and international figures.
In his opening remarks, the Minister of Justice highlighted the urgency of rethinking legal frameworks to adapt to the digital age, stating:
«Keeping pace with the rapid transformations of our time, especially the deep digital shift, compels us to deepen legal dialogue on emerging challenges in digital work environments, within a framework of shared responsibility and balanced cooperation».
The conference focuses on several critical themes, including: Legal issues related to remote work, The impact of digitalization on labour law, Ensuring diversity and inclusion in the workplace, Data protection and privacy, And strengthening cybersecurity in professional settings.
This event follows previous successful editions held in Milan (2024) and Buenos Aires (2023), which tackled topics such as artificial intelligence, hybrid work models, and mental health in the workplace.
The conference continues over three days with plenary sessions and specialized workshops, aiming to generate concrete recommendations and foster international cooperation on adapting labour laws to current digital and social realities.
