‘I would like to reiterate, on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian people, our gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for His sustained efforts in support of the Palestinian people,’ stated Mr. Mustafa during a press briefing following his discussions with the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, on the sidelines of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development, held from June 30 to July 3 in Seville, southern Spain.

The talks provided an opportunity to convey a message of esteem and consideration to the Moroccan government and people for the tireless efforts Morocco continues to deploy in favor of the Holy City [Al Qods] and for the growing interest the Kingdom has shown toward the dire situation in the Gaza Strip,’ he added.

Mr. Mustafa also emphasized the importance of ending the suffering of Gaza’s population to enable reconstruction planning, while insisting on the imperative to revive the political process based on the two-state solution, with the goal of establishing an independent state with East Jerusalem [Al Qods-Est] as its capital.

The Moroccan delegation to the International Conference on Financing for Development is led by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch. It notably includes Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah; Ambassador Omar Hilale, Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; and the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaich.”
