Engineering: A global technology consulting company sets up in Oujda

A technology engineering and consulting company, a subsidiary of the SII Group, has just established itself at the Oujda technopole, a project that plans to create 500 direct jobs.
The inauguration of this project, a determining milestone in the technological growth of the Oriental region, took place on Tuesday during the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the Royal Initiative for the Development of the Oriental Region.
This establishment fully aligns with the territorial development vision of the Oriental region, which relies on accelerated digitalization, an increase in local talent skills, and an incentive regulatory framework for investors.
The SII Group is a recognized global actor in engineering consulting and digital services for sectors such as industry, energy, automotive, and telecommunications, and its decision to officially launch its establishment in Oujda Shore testifies to the growing confidence of international actors in the economic and technological potential of the region.
Present in 21 countries and counting 18,000 collaborators, the SII Group plays a key role in the digital transformation of companies by offering innovative solutions adapted to current technological challenges, according to a presentation note of this project.
The SII Oujda Shore platform, which spans 500 m², is designed as a cutting-edge technological space intended to support the skill enhancement of local talent. This project plans to create 500 direct jobs, thus contributing to the dynamization of the employment market in the region.
The establishment of SII in Oujda benefits from reinforced institutional support, ensuring administrative and regulatory support to facilitate the establishment and start-up of activities. It also comes with fiscal and financial incentives adapted in accordance with the New Investment Charter.
Furthermore, partnerships with training institutions are established to ensure access to highly qualified and market-adapted labor.
With an attractive environment, modern infrastructure, and investment incentives, the Oriental region today imposes itself as a territory of innovation and development for tomorrow’s technological companies.
Partnership agreements to enhance the attractiveness of the Oriental region
In addition to the first agreement mentioned above between the Wilaya of the Oriental, the Regional Council, the Regional Investment Center, and the SII FLEXSHORE company, a second agreement was concluded in the industrial sector with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation, and the German company Fränkische Industrial Pipes GmbH & Co. KG.
This agreement provides for an investment of 10 million euros by 2032 and the creation of 150 stable jobs by 2028. The project involves the development and manufacturing of plastic protection and fluid systems for the automotive industry, thus strengthening the regional industrial ecosystem and the Oriental region’s rise in the automotive sector.
Finally, a convention dedicated to the qualification and promotion of tourism in the Oriental region was signed between the Wilaya of the Oriental, the Oriental Regional Council, the Regional Tourism Council, the Regional Tourism Delegation, and the Oriental Regional Investment Center.
This agreement aims to enhance the region’s tourist attractions, improve the attractiveness of local destinations, and strengthen the promotion of the Oriental region on national and international markets.
It provides for an investment of 3 million dirhams over three years (2025-2027) for territorial marketing actions, participation in international fairs, and the organization of tourism promotion events.
These agreements reflect the commitment of authorities and economic partners to strengthen the regional ecosystem and promote the establishment of structuring projects, thus confirming the potential of the Oriental region as a competitive investment hub at the national and international level.
The Oujda meeting was organized at the Campus of Knowledge by the Wilaya of the Oriental and the Regional Council, in partnership with MEDZ, a subsidiary of CDG Development, and the Regional Investment Center (CRI-Oriental), in the presence of the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation, Karim Zidane, and the Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade, Omar Hejira.
Also participating in this meeting were the wali of the Oriental region, the president of the Oriental Regional Council, the director general of the Agency for the Development of the Oriental, governors of the provinces of the Oriental, representatives of key national and regional economic institutions, as well as over 50 potential investors and companies representing different professional federations.
