Citrus Fruits: Arrival of the First Moroccan Container in the Japanese Market
The first container of Moroccan citrus fruits arrived in Japan on Wednesday and was cleared by phytosanitary authorities after meeting all regulatory requirements and control protocols established by Japanese authorities.

This shipment is the result of close cooperation between the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA) and Japanese health and phytosanitary authorities, who conducted audits in Morocco of production sites, conditioning stations, and ONSSA’s phytosanitary control and certification system.
The opening of the Japanese market represents a major breakthrough for the Moroccan citrus sector.
