After two resounding editions, Morocco is doubling down. The ochre city is gearing up to pulse with the rhythm of the third edition of Gitex Africa Morocco, set to take place from April 14 to 16, 2025. This year, the event isn’t just aiming to outdo itself—it aspires to redraw the continent’s technological map.

With an expanded program, high-level sector-specific summits, hyper-focused networking spaces, and a spotlight on creative industries, Gitex Africa 2025 is poised to make a bold impact.

Over 45,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors are expected for a deep dive into Africa’s digital future. Special attention will be given to emerging startups, particularly first-time participants, to diversify the ecosystem’s voices and nurture new champions.

This edition will spotlight pivotal themes of the moment: artificial intelligence, Healthtech, Edtech, green energy, and Sportech. A strategy tailored to address global challenges while delivering African-driven, local, and innovative solutions.

During a press conference in Rabat, Amal El Fallah Serghouchni, Delegate Minister in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, underscored the event’s strategic significance: ‘Technological innovation is critical to enabling Africa to surpass global standards. Morocco plays a driving role by strengthening its digital infrastructure and investing in solutions tailored to local realities.’

But the event is more than a tech exhibition: it’s also a springboard to the global stage for Moroccan and African startups. The goal: to foster collaborations, attract investors, and position the continent as a rising force in global innovation.

In this vein, Mohammed Drissi Melyani, Director General of the Digital Development Agency (ADD), added: ‘The efforts of the past two years to bolster Moroccan startups’ commitment to Gitex Africa will continue and intensify, guided by a mission to select and support 200 innovative Moroccan startups, now a catalyst for their emergence and international promotion within the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.’

Among the highlights, the Africa Future Connectivity Summit will explore the impact of 5G, cloud computing, and data centers—cornerstones for building tomorrow’s digital Africa.

Another bold addition: the Diaspora Studio, a space entirely dedicated to African talents worldwide. This platform aims to drive cross-border investments, strategic partnerships, and knowledge-sharing between the diaspora and local ecosystems—a vital bridge connecting Africa here and abroad.

Notably, the event is an initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, in partnership with the ADD and organized by KAOUN International.
