Conclave: Box Office Triumph and Award Success

“Conclave,” directed by Edward Berger, is anticipated to surpass the $100 million mark at the worldwide box office this week, currently grossing approximately $98.5 million, with $66.3 million from international markets and $32.2 million from North America. The film, which cost $20 million to produce, has won four BAFTAs, including Best Film and Best British Film, tying with “The Brutalist” for the most awards. It features a star-studded cast, including Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, Sergio Castellitto, and Isabella Rossellini, with a screenplay adapted by Peter Straughan from Robert Harris’s 2016 novel of the same name. In North America, it has grossed $32.2 million, while notable international earnings include $10.3 million in the U.K., $8.9 million in France, $4.3 million in Australia, $9 million in Germany, $5 million in Spain, $3.7 million in Mexico, and $2.1 million in Switzerland. The film has received eight Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay, with additional nominations for Fiennes (Best Actor) and Rossellini (Best Supporting Actress).
